Bio

Jacob brings a unique blend of legal and economic expertise to his practice. At the firm, he has leveraged his economics background to develop a strong expertise in litigation strategy, contractual interpretation and risk allocation, as well as the assessment of damages, costs, and interest. His work on complex disputes has refined his skills in evidence analysis and organization, managing large-scale document productions, and contributing to the preparation of effective advocacy. Additionally, Jacob has taken full carriage of his own Small Claims Court files, independently guiding cases to resolution.

Prior to joining the firm, Jacob gained valuable experience at a leading full-service law firm, where he researched and drafted on issues related to environmental law and policy, municipal development agreements, and procurement processes – such as Requests for Proposal.

Academically, Jacob has contributed to Canadian and comparative constitutional law as a Research Assistant at the University of Toronto. In addition to his legal research, Jacob has also conducted research in economic fields including advanced microeconomic theory, industrial organization, and competition policy.
