Bio
Amir joined Glaholt Bowles LLP as an Associate in 2023, after summering and articling at the firm. During his time at the firm, Amir has assisted clients in matters such as large-scale construction projects, mediations, arbitrations, adjudications, small claims court proceedings, and appeals. Amir's skill set includes conducting meticulous legal research, crafting persuasive pleadings, motions, facta, and settlement documents, as well as active participation in discovery proceedings, settlement conferences, and hearings.
A graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, Amir developed a keen interest in trial advocacy and negotiation programs during his law school years. His academic journey began with a B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2018, providing a solid foundation for his understanding of complex technical matters.
Before embarking on his legal career, Amir gained valuable industry experience in consulting, contributing to significant energy projects, and in biomedical R&D, where his contributions were recognized with the NSERC Industrial Research Award in 2016.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Amir finds solace and adventure in the great Canadian outdoors. Whether hiking, camping, or portaging, he embraces the beauty of nature. A passionate soccer enthusiast, Amir is a devoted supporter of Manchester United in the English Premier League.
